- For a healthy and long life, don't upset the Fairy Queen, the Chief Witch, Eileen and/or the Chief Wizard.
- If you've developed a new spell you think others might be interested in, either officially demonstrate it to the Queen and her Council and they will shield you and your invention, or keep it to yourself. Write nothing down. You don't want the witches getting hold of this (the Council will assume you're colloborating and you'll paid the price for treason).
- Don't trust anyone who offers to show you how to do magic "on the cheap" and/or more quickly than the official methods of learning it via the education system. It will end badly for you.
- Do assume magic is dangerous and use it wisely.
- Don't assume anything is what it appears to be. In the magical world, the opposite is likely to be true!
