Eileen for the fact she has no trouble with hypocrisy, was out of the room altogether when the tact was being given out and she is as brave as they come. That brief gives me a wide amount of material to bring out of Eileen. She's also capable of surprising me (in a nice way). Where there is trouble you will find Eileen either having started it or having been sent to the place in question to stop it. And when Eileen stops anything, it does stop. Her idea of justice is to turn an offender into a frog, let them keep their mind so they are fully aware of what's happened to them, then drop them off in the middle of a heron colony! You don't muck about with this lady.
She also has the courage to criticize a lot of the Fairy Kingdom's history, written by the victorious fairy govmenent. Her own historical volume tells the whole story warts and all, yet Eileen is dismisssed as an eccentric. Still, as she has often told herself, that has undoubtedly saved her life. Eccentrics are not considered to be a threat. Eileen can, has and will continue to use that for her own purposes.
Eileen also tries to reach out to the Witch and to try to make the latter backtrack from her aggressive attitude. Eileen is the one person the Witch will actively try not to harm. Neither particularly want this publicized on the grounds it won't help either of their images. In Eileen's case, the more malicious might try to make out a claim of treason against her. Not that they'd succeed. Eileen would track each and every one of those misguided idiots down and show her full magical powers.
